CVE-2026-94633
Description
A flaw was found in Apache Thrift's Dart bindings. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending input containing inconsistent length parameters, triggering excessive memory allocation. This can lead to system memory exhaustion, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) condition.
Statement
This vulnerability is rated as having Important severity because an unauthenticated remote attacker can induce unbounded memory consumption over the network, leading to service disruption without requiring user interaction. However, this issue specifically affects the Dart language bindings of Apache Thrift, which are neither packaged nor enabled in standard Red Hat product distributions. Consequently, typical Red Hat deployments utilizing Thrift are not exposed to this flaw unless custom Dart implementations are built and exposed.
Mitigation
Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base, or stability.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
