CVE-2026-93147
Description
A flaw was found in the kernel. The s390/bpf component incorrectly handles the loading of a 32-bit CPU number (cpu_nr) into a 64-bit BPF register (BPF_REG_0). The ly instruction, used for this operation, fails to clear the upper bits of the 64-bit register. This oversight could lead to the unintended exposure of data or integrity issues within the BPF program execution, potentially impacting system stability or security.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
