CVE-2026-93085
Description
A flaw was found in the ARM System Control and Management Interface (SCMI) firmware within the Linux kernel. This vulnerability occurs because the system fails to properly reject out-of-range Device Tree (DT) protocol identifiers. A local attacker could exploit this by providing a malformed 32-bit DT reg value, causing the system to truncate and misinterpret the protocol ID. This misinterpretation could lead to a security bypass or unintended behavior in SCMI protocol handling.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
