CVE-2026-91410

Description

A flaw was found in the Libraries component of OpenJDK. An unauthenticated remote attacker with network access can exploit this vulnerability by supplying crafted data to vulnerable application programming interfaces (APIs). Successful exploitation allows the attacker to cause a partial Denial of Service (DoS) of the application or service.

Statement

Red Hat has evaluated this vulnerability as having a Moderate impact because exploitation is constrained to a partial denial of service without compromising system confidentiality or integrity. Exposure primarily affects Java applications that accept and process untrusted archive data using the internal zipfs file system provider. In typical environments where applications do not expose archive parsing interfaces to untrusted external callers, the operational risk remains limited.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
