CVE-2026-85267
Description
A flaw was found in Cloud Shell. This Cross-Site WebSocket Hijacking vulnerability allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to intercept an active user session by initiating cross-origin requests. A successful attack enables an adversary to hijack the session and exfiltrate the user's Open Authorization (OAuth) access token, leading to unauthorized access to cloud resources.
Statement
This vulnerability is classified as Important because an external adversary can compromise active sessions and siphon authorization tokens without requiring privileges on the system, elevated only by the victim interacting with a hostile webpage. Google Cloud Shell is a proprietary managed service hosted entirely within Google Cloud Platform rather than a software package distributed or supported by Red Hat. Therefore, Red Hat enterprise software offerings do not include this service and are not directly vulnerable to this issue.
