CVE-2026-83813
Description
A flaw was found in Twisted. This vulnerability allows a network attacker to spoof Domain Name System (DNS) responses and redirect network traffic. The DNS protocol implementation accepts incoming User Datagram Protocol (UDP) responses that match a pending query transaction identifier without validating that the packet originated from the queried server address and port. By delivering a packet with the correct transaction identifier to the listening resolver, an attacker can inject forged answers and manipulate hostname resolution.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
