CVE-2026-77385
Description
A flaw was found in Kyoo, a self-hosted media server. A registered user with specific permissions could exploit a missing authorization check in the transcoder by supplying a specially crafted filesystem path. This vulnerability allows the user to retrieve uncataloged files, such as hidden or temporary files, from the media directory, leading to information disclosure.
Statement
This vulnerability is rated as Moderate severity because unauthorized file exposure requires an authenticated user with playback permissions and is limited to files located within the configured media directory. Additionally, Kyoo is not packaged, shipped, or supported in Red Hat products, resulting in no direct impact on supported enterprise environments.
