CVE-2026-67416
Description
A flaw was found in rabbitmq-server, where the Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) parser fails to validate the length of message body descriptors. An authenticated remote attacker with write permissions can exploit this vulnerability by publishing a crafted message with an unrecognized descriptor sharing a valid prefix. RabbitMQ misclassifies and stores the payload, causing downstream message consumer applications or cross-protocol conversion processes to crash during message decoding, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
