CVE-2026-64158
Description
A flaw was found in the netfs component of the Linux kernel. The write streaming feature, which caches dirty data to avoid unnecessary reads, was incorrectly disabled when a file descriptor was opened with O_RDWR (read-write) mode. This incorrect disabling was based on an outdated assumption that flushing the write-streaming page was necessary before reading, which is no longer the case. This issue could lead to unexpected behavior or performance problems in file operations.
