CVE-2026-61837

Description

A flaw was found in RabbitMQ. The Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) 1.0 management interface fails to perform proper authorization checks when processing requests for message bindings. An authenticated user without administrative privileges can exploit this issue to enumerate the complete message routing topology and configuration details of accessible virtual hosts, resulting in unauthorized information disclosure.

Statement

This vulnerability is rated as having Moderate impact because exploitation requires existing authentication credentials and is confined to information disclosure of virtual host routing layouts without compromising message integrity or broker availability. In Red Hat environments such as Red Hat OpenStack Platform, RabbitMQ is typically isolated within internal management networks, reducing exposure to untrusted entities. Although unprivileged users can inspect routing keys and binding configurations across virtual hosts they can access via AMQP 1.0 management endpoints, the defect does not grant permissions to publish or consume unauthorized messages.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
