CVE-2026-61700
Description
A flaw was found in MariaDB Connector/J. This flaw allows a rogue or man-in-the-middle server to bypass the allowLocalInfile=false setting during server-initiated LOCAL INFILE requests. When an application sends a LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE COM_QUERY, a malicious server can echo the filename, causing the connector to transmit the file. This can lead to information disclosure of a file already selected by the application. Exploitation requires an application that actively loads sensitive data over an untrusted connection.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
