CVE-2026-54594

Description

A flaw was found in OmniBlocks. A remote attacker could exploit a vulnerability in the .github/workflows/disc.yml workflow, which fails to prevent duplicate discussion creation for off-topic issues. By repeatedly editing an off-topic issue's description before conversion, an attacker can cause multiple discussions to be generated for the same issue. This leads to discussion spam and increased moderation effort, effectively causing a denial of service by resource exhaustion.

Statement

This vulnerability is evaluated with a Moderate impact because an authenticated user can trigger discussion spam and increase moderation overhead, while posing no risk to host confidentiality or core system availability. OmniBlocks and its repository automation scripts are not distributed, embedded, or supported within Red Hat products. Consequently, Red Hat environments and offerings are unaffected by this issue.
