CVE-2026-54376

Description

A flaw was found in the VitaFit application. This vulnerability is caused by an insecurely handled custom Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) scheme used during account authentication. A malicious application installed on the same device can register the same URI scheme to intercept authentication tokens during the login process. An attacker can exploit this flaw to view, create, or delete the user's personal health and fitness records without authorization.

Statement

This vulnerability is rated as an Important severity flaw because local malicious software on the client device can hijack OAuth tokens and manipulate private user data without requiring elevated privileges. However, VitaFit is a third-party Android mobile application and is not packaged, shipped, or supported in any Red Hat enterprise offerings. As a result, Red Hat products are not affected by this vulnerability.

Mitigation

Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base, or stability.
