CVE-2026-47178
Description
A flaw was found in libheif, a HEIF and AVIF file format decoder and encoder. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by convincing a user to open a specially crafted HEIF file. This crafted file triggers a heap out-of-bounds write, which can lead to arbitrary code execution. This could allow the attacker to take control of the affected system.
