CVE-2026-46569
Description
A flaw was found in NTFS-3G. A heap-based buffer overflow allows a local attacker to potentially achieve privilege escalation by supplying a specially crafted NTFS file system image. When extending a directory on the malicious image, such as by creating a file, memory within the privileged utility is corrupted, which can lead to arbitrary code execution with elevated root privileges or a denial of service (DoS).
