CVE-2026-45404
Description
A flaw was found in OpenTelemetry-Go. The OpenTracing bridge's bridgeSpan component contains an unsynchronized map, extraBaggageItems, which is not safe for concurrent access. When multiple operations, such as SetBaggageItem and correlation.MapFromContext, attempt to access this map simultaneously, it can lead to a fatal runtime error. This vulnerability results in the termination of the process, causing a denial of service.
Mitigation
Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base, or stability.
