CVE-2026-44054

Description

A flaw was found in Netatalk. A remote attacker could exploit a predictable afpd session token, which is used for managing user sessions, to cause a Denial of Service (DoS). This vulnerability allows an attacker to disrupt the availability of the affected service.

If a PRNG is used for authentication and authorization, such as a session ID or a seed for generating a cryptographic key, then an attacker may be able to easily guess the ID or cryptographic key and gain access to restricted functionality.
