CVE-2026-44002
Description
A flaw was found in vm2 (before 3.11.0). The CallSite wrapper blocks getThis() and getFunction() but returns unsanitized host absolute paths from getFileName(), allowing sandboxed code to learn host directory layout, library paths, and framework versions. Fixed in 3.11.0.
Statement
vm2 is vulnerable to information disclosure via unsanitized host file paths returned by CallSite.getFileName(). A remote unauthenticated attacker who can run sandboxed code may extract host filesystem layout and version information. Fixed in vm2 3.11.0.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
