CVE-2026-31656
Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's i915 graphics driver. A race condition exists between the heartbeat worker and intel_engine_park_heartbeat() functions when releasing an engine request. This can lead to a reference count (refcount) underflow, resulting in a use-after-free vulnerability. A local attacker could potentially exploit this to cause a denial of service.
