CVE-2026-19484
Description
A flaw was found in @fastify/busboy, a multipart form-data parser. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted multipart request with an oversized boundary. This can cause the Node.js event loop to stall, leading to a CPU-bound loop that consumes significant processing resources. Consequently, a single small request can keep a core busy and deny service to other requests handled by the same process.
Statement
Red Hat products that include @fastify/busboy are not affected by this vulnerability. CVE-2026-19484 is present only in @fastify/busboy versions 3.1.0 through 3.2.0. Analysis of Red Hat product content shows that the supported offerings ship different versions of @fastify/busboy that are outside the affected range.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
