CVE-2026-18794
Description
A flaw was found in OpenRGB. The OpenRGB network protocol allows a remote attacker to cause out-of-bounds memory reads and writes by sending inconsistent data. This could lead to information disclosure, arbitrary code execution, or a Denial of Service (DoS).

Mitigation
To mitigate this issue, restrict network access to the OpenRGB service using firewall rules, allowing connections only from trusted hosts. If the OpenRGB network protocol functionality is not required, consider disabling it through the application's configuration, if available, or uninstalling the OpenRGB package. Ensure any changes to network configurations or service settings are reloaded or the service is restarted for the mitigation to take effect.
