CVE-2026-17025
Description
A flaw was found in graphene. Due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in user profile fields, an authenticated attacker with low-level privileges can conduct stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. By injecting malicious scripts into profile fields, an attacker can execute arbitrary script code in the browser of any user viewing the affected page, potentially compromising user sessions or exposing sensitive information.
Statement
This vulnerability is rated as Moderate impact because exploitation requires existing subscriber account privileges and victim interaction to execute stored payloads in a browser. The affected component is an upstream WordPress theme rather than the core graphics library package distributed in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. As Red Hat products do not package or deploy this WordPress theme, supported environments are not exposed to this flaw under default configurations.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
