CVE-2026-16317
Description
A flaw was found in s2n-tls, a Transport Layer Security (TLS) implementation. This vulnerability allows an active man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacker to silently discard individual application data records in TLS 1.3 connections. The issue stems from missing validation of the outer content type byte in encrypted records. This can lead to undetectable data loss or desynchronization of requests and responses, particularly in HTTP pipelining scenarios.
