CVE-2026-15567

Description

A flaw was found in Wildfly. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger OutOfMemoryError as CSIv2Util's GSS token decoder reads an attacker-controlled length field without bounds checking and attempts to allocate a byte array of that size.

Statement

This vulnerability is rated as having Important impact because an unauthenticated remote attacker can crash the entire application server process with a single malformed packet, completely compromising service availability. In Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, the affected IIOP listener is typically deployed only when using profiles that include the IIOP subsystem (such as full profiles), meaning default minimal profiles are not exposed. However, where the IIOP service is active and accessible over the network, incoming handshake requests are parsed prior to authentication, allowing immediate denial of service without valid credentials.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
