CVE-2026-123061
Description
A critical vulnerability was discovered in LiteLLM Enterprise proxy where an unauthenticated remote attacker can trigger an arbitrary file read on any LLM route. This flaw allows an attacker to leak the proxy's master key (LITELLM_MASTER_KEY) and third-party model provider API credentials. With administrative proxy access obtained via the leaked master key, attackers can, in certain configurations, achieve remote code execution as root.
Statement
This vulnerability specifically affects LiteLLM proxies operating with an Enterprise license. Upstream maintainers note that open-source deployments running without an Enterprise license are not affected by this flaw.
This issue affects LiteLLM Enterprise proxy deployments only. Open source and unlicensed deployments are not affected. Red Hat products that include litellm (AAP Lightspeed chatbot images, Lightspeed Core, OpenShift AI images, Exploit Intelligence, related services) use it as a library or transitive dependency and do not run the LiteLLM Enterprise proxy with a license in default configurations. So the vulnerable code path is not reachable.
Mitigation
Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base, or stability.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
