CVE-2026-115886

Description

A flaw was found in MLflow. An unauthenticated remote attacker can conduct Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), where the application is tricked into making unauthorized network requests to arbitrary internal or external systems. By submitting crafted serialized scorer data to affected endpoints, an attacker can exploit insufficient validation during object deserialization to force the server to initiate outbound requests with attacker-controlled destinations and payloads. This issue can lead to unauthorized access to restricted internal resources or information disclosure.

Statement

This vulnerability is rated as Moderate impact for Red Hat OpenShift AI because successful exploitation requires non-default optional libraries to be present on the host, restricting the blast radius to server-originated HTTP requests rather than remote code execution. Under standard Red Hat OpenShift AI deployments, the optional trulens and trulens-providers-litellm packages are not bundled by default. While exposed scorer endpoints accept unauthenticated calls, the flaw cannot be leveraged to initiate outbound connections unless these specific third-party evaluation modules are manually installed.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).

The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
