CVE-2026-115718

Description

A flaw was found in Frappe Builder. A missing authorization check in the improve_prompt endpoint allows an authenticated remote attacker to invoke Large Language Model (LLM) completions using the site owner's stored credentials. By exploiting this issue, an attacker can exhaust paid service credits and misuse the system as an unauthorized proxy for artificial intelligence requests.

Statement

This vulnerability is rated as having Moderate impact because exploitation requires authenticated access and the consequences are limited to the consumption of external API credits, with no direct threat to host confidentiality or system integrity. Frappe Builder is not included or supported within Red Hat enterprise products. Red Hat packages with similar names, such as rubygem-builder in Red Hat Satellite, are distinct software components and remain unaffected by this issue.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).

The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
