CVE-2026-115717

Description

A flaw was found in Frappe Builder. An authenticated user with low privileges can trigger a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability by submitting a malicious URL to the convert_to_webp API endpoint, which lacks proper access controls and redirect validation. This allows the attacker to coerce the server into sending requests to internal network services or cloud metadata endpoints, potentially leading to unauthorized information disclosure.

Statement

This vulnerability is rated as Moderate severity because it requires existing user authentication with at least low-level privileges and is constrained to information disclosure rather than remote code execution or integrity loss. While the flaw permits an authenticated user to perform server-side request forgery against internal resources or metadata services, it cannot be exploited by unauthenticated external attackers. Additionally, Frappe Builder is not distributed as part of Red Hat Enterprise Linux or other core Red Hat enterprise products, limiting exposure within Red Hat environments.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).

The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
