CVE-2026-113152
Description
A flaw was found in chromium-browser. A remote attacker could trigger a memory corruption vulnerability in the SignIn component by enticing a user to visit a crafted HTML page. Successful exploitation may allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the browser sandbox.
Statement
This vulnerability is rated as Important severity because an unauthenticated remote attacker can potentially execute unauthorized code within the sandbox environment if a user navigates to a malicious web page. Red Hat Enterprise Linux does not include the Chromium package in supported repositories, restricting exposure to community builds such as Fedora and EPEL. Exploitation requires victim interaction to view untrusted content, and the memory corruption flaw does not grant privileges outside the confined process.
Understanding the Weakness (CWE)
Integrity
Technical Impact: Modify Memory; Execute Unauthorized Code or Commands
Write operations could cause memory corruption. In some cases, an adversary can modify control data such as return addresses in order to execute unexpected code.
Availability
Technical Impact: DoS: Crash, Exit, or Restart
Attempting to access out-of-range, invalid, or unauthorized memory could cause the product to crash.
Other
Technical Impact: Unexpected State
Subsequent write operations can produce undefined or unexpected results.
