CVE-2026-113083
Description
A flaw was found in the Actor component of Google Chrome. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by convincing a user to load a specially crafted HTML page, triggering memory corruption. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute arbitrary code within the browser's restricted sandbox environment.
Statement
This vulnerability is rated as Important because an unauthenticated remote attacker could achieve arbitrary code execution if an end user is tricked into navigating to a malicious web page, though the compromise remains confined within the browser's sandbox. Chromium is not included in core Red Hat Enterprise Linux releases and is only distributed through community channels such as EPEL and Fedora. Consequently, enterprise environments running default installations are not directly exposed to this issue.
Understanding the Weakness (CWE)
Integrity
Technical Impact: Modify Memory; Execute Unauthorized Code or Commands
Write operations could cause memory corruption. In some cases, an adversary can modify control data such as return addresses in order to execute unexpected code.
Availability
Technical Impact: DoS: Crash, Exit, or Restart
Attempting to access out-of-range, invalid, or unauthorized memory could cause the product to crash.
Other
Technical Impact: Unexpected State
Subsequent write operations can produce undefined or unexpected results.
