CVE-2026-113032
Description
A flaw was found in the Omnibox (address bar) component of Google Chrome on Android. A remote attacker can exploit this memory corruption issue by convincing a user to open a specially crafted HTML page. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute arbitrary code within the browser's restricted sandbox environment.
Statement
Red Hat evaluates this vulnerability with an Important severity rating because, while remote code execution can occur upon processing untrusted web content, the impact is confined within the application sandbox and relies on user interaction. Chromium packages are not provided in supported Red Hat Enterprise Linux products and are only distributed through community channels such as EPEL. Furthermore, the underlying issue is specific to the Android platform's address bar implementation, significantly limiting relevance to enterprise deployments.
Understanding the Weakness (CWE)
Integrity
Technical Impact: Modify Memory; Execute Unauthorized Code or Commands
Write operations could cause memory corruption. In some cases, an adversary can modify control data such as return addresses in order to execute unexpected code.
Availability
Technical Impact: DoS: Crash, Exit, or Restart
Attempting to access out-of-range, invalid, or unauthorized memory could cause the product to crash.
Other
Technical Impact: Unexpected State
Subsequent write operations can produce undefined or unexpected results.
