CVE-2026-111648
Description
A flaw was found in BuildAdmin. An authenticated administrator with profile editing permissions can modify other administrative accounts by altering the account identifier parameter in requests. This flaw allows an attacker to overwrite sensitive profile details, including email addresses and phone numbers of super administrators.
Statement
This vulnerability is rated as having Low severity because exploitation requires existing administrative privileges and the impact is restricted to unauthorized modifications of user profile metadata rather than privilege escalation or arbitrary code execution. An attacker must already possess an authenticated account granted explicit editing rights to alter parameters designating other users. Additionally, BuildAdmin is neither shipped nor supported in Red Hat products, posing no risk to supported customer environments.

Access Control
Technical Impact: Gain Privileges or Assume Identity
Vertical escalation of privilege is possible if the user-controlled key is actually a flag that indicates administrator status, allowing the attacker to gain administrative access.
