CVE-2026-111065

Description

A flaw was found in aiohttp. An integer overflow in the processing of HTTP Max-Age directives can prevent connections from closing as intended. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to exhaust the connection pool, leading to a temporary Denial of Service (DoS).

Statement

This vulnerability is rated as having a Moderate severity for Red Hat products because an attacker cannot compromise confidentiality or data integrity, and the resulting denial of service is limited to transient connector pool exhaustion that is recovered once garbage collection runs. Red Hat environments that rely on asynchronous HTTP clients, including components within Red Hat OpenShift AI and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, may experience temporary connection starvation when communicating with untrusted remote endpoints. Because exploitation does not cause persistent crashes or allow code execution, the overall blast radius remains constrained.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).

The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
