CVE-2026-110764
Description
A flaw was found in astron-rpa. An access control issue, known as an insecure direct object reference (IDOR), exists in the file download service due to missing tenant ownership verification. An authenticated remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by supplying or enumerating predictable file identifiers, resulting in unauthorized cross-tenant data disclosure.
Statement
This vulnerability is evaluated as Moderate severity because successful exploitation requires an authenticated account to predict or enumerate valid file identifiers, restricting the impact strictly to unauthorized information disclosure without compromising system integrity or service availability. Furthermore, the astron-rpa component is not distributed, shipped, or supported in any Red Hat product offerings. As a result, standard Red Hat enterprise environments are not exposed to this issue.
Understanding the Weakness (CWE)
Access Control
Technical Impact: Bypass Protection Mechanism
Access control checks for specific user data or functionality can be bypassed.
Access Control
Technical Impact: Gain Privileges or Assume Identity
Horizontal escalation of privilege is possible (one user can view/modify information of another user).
Access Control
Technical Impact: Gain Privileges or Assume Identity
Vertical escalation of privilege is possible if the user-controlled key is actually a flag that indicates administrator status, allowing the attacker to gain administrative access.
