CVE-2026-108719

Description

A flaw was found in LLMGateway. An authenticated remote attacker holding a valid API key can exploit a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability by supplying a loopback, private, or cloud metadata address as the video-generation callback URL. Because the application fails to validate the destination before delivering webhook notifications, the worker service sends unauthorized requests to internal network endpoints. This flaw allows attackers to reach internal services and metadata endpoints that are not publicly accessible.

Statement

This vulnerability is rated as Moderate severity because exploitation requires an authenticated client holding a valid API token and results in blind outbound webhook POST requests without directly exposing internal response payloads to the caller. Red Hat does not ship or distribute the LLMGateway service in any enterprise product offerings, and Red Hat products are not affected by this flaw.

Understanding the Weakness (CWE)

Confidentiality

Technical Impact: Read Application Data

Integrity

Technical Impact: Execute Unauthorized Code or Commands

Access Control

Technical Impact: Bypass Protection Mechanism

By providing URLs to unexpected hosts or ports, attackers can make it appear that the server is sending the request, possibly bypassing access controls such as firewalls that prevent the attackers from accessing the URLs directly. The server can be used as a proxy to conduct port scanning of hosts in internal networks, use other URLs such as that can access documents on the system (using file://), or use other protocols such as gopher:// or tftp://, which may provide greater control over the contents of requests.
