CVE-2026-103119

Description

A flaw was found in Apache Tomcat. During large non-blocking write operations, a buffer under-read can cause an HTTP response body to be split between the current request and the subsequent request handled on the same connection. A remote user sending a follow-up request could receive sensitive data intended for the prior response, leading to information disclosure. This issue can also cause the subsequent request to fail, resulting in a denial of service (DoS).

Statement

This vulnerability is rated as Moderate because exploitation requires specific, high-complexity runtime conditions: deployed applications must utilize asynchronous non-blocking write operations with payloads large enough to trigger buffer fragmentation across reused connections. Because successful exploitation depends on precise request timing and specialized application logic utilizing non-blocking I/O servlets, opportunistic remote attacks are difficult to execute reliably. Furthermore, the blast radius is restricted to partial data disclosure between consecutive sessions sharing an HTTP connection or transient request processing errors.

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
