CVE-2026-101755
Description
A flaw was found in MySQL client programs. An authenticated attacker with network access and low privileges could exploit this vulnerability across multiple protocols. A successful attack allows the threat actor to cause an application hang or repeated crash, resulting in a complete Denial of Service (DoS) of the database service.
Statement
This vulnerability is evaluated with a Moderate impact because exploitation demands authenticated access under complex conditions and is strictly limited to availability disruption, with no loss of confidentiality or system integrity. Standard Red Hat Enterprise Linux installations are not affected as the vulnerable code is not present in supported package builds.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
