CVE-2026-101720

Description

A flaw was found in MySQL connection handling. An unauthenticated remote attacker with network access can exploit this vulnerability to compromise the database server. Successful exploitation allows an attacker to perform unauthorized data modifications, resulting in the creation, alteration, or deletion of accessible data.

Statement

This vulnerability is rated as Moderate severity because, although exploitable over the network without authentication, the impact is confined to low-integrity data modification without compromising system confidentiality or causing a denial of service. In typical Red Hat environments, database servers are isolated within secured network perimeters or configured to accept connections exclusively from trusted application tiers, significantly mitigating exposure to untrusted parties.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).

The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
