CVE-2026-101629
Description
A flaw was found in the InnoDB component of MySQL. A remote attacker with high privileges can exploit this vulnerability over the network to cause the database server to hang or crash repeatedly. This issue results in a complete Denial of Service (DoS) of the affected database service.
Statement
Red Hat has evaluated this vulnerability as having a Moderate impact because exploitation requires high administrative privileges over the network to induce a service hang or crash, restricting the impact solely to system availability without compromising confidentiality or data integrity. Supported Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions are not affected as the vulnerable InnoDB code base is not present in the distributed packages.
Mitigation
Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base, or stability.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
