CVE-2026-101619
Description
A flaw was found in the InnoDB component of MySQL. A high-privileged attacker with network access could exploit this vulnerability to trigger an unexpected hang or crash of the database server. A successful attack can result in a complete Denial of Service (DoS).
Statement
This vulnerability is rated as Moderate impact because successful exploitation requires an attacker to possess high administrative privileges within the database. Although an authorized administrator with network reachability can cause the InnoDB engine to hang or crash the MySQL service, the flaw does not compromise data confidentiality or integrity. Standard enterprise configurations that isolate database ports and limit elevated administrative credentials significantly lower the real-world risk.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
The following CVSS metrics and score provided are preliminary and subject to review.
