CVE-2025-71221
Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel, specifically within the mmp_pdma component responsible for managing direct memory access (DMA) operations. This vulnerability arises from a timing issue, known as a race condition, where multiple processes try to access the same memory at the same time without proper coordination. This can lead to a "use-after-free" situation, where the system attempts to use memory that has already been released, potentially causing system crashes, denial of service, or allowing a local attacker to gain elevated privileges or execute unauthorized code.
