CVE-2025-64458

Description

A denial of service vulnerability has been discovered in the Django web framework. NFKC normalization in Python is slow on Windows. As a consequence, django.http.HttpResponseRedirect, django.http.HttpResponsePermanentRedirect, and the shortcut django.shortcuts.redirect were subject to a potential denial-of-service attack via certain inputs with a very large number of Unicode characters.

Mitigation

Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base or stability.
