CVE-2025-38091
Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's AMD display (amdgpu) driver. A local user could exploit a lack of correct checks when querying the plane_id in the Display Management Layer 2.1 (DML21) component. This issue can trigger a false positive warning during a mode reset operation, potentially leading to a denial of service (DoS) by causing the graphics processing unit (GPU) to recover and temporarily impacting system availability.
