CVE-2025-38068

Description

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's LZO compression module. The compression code failed to check for output buffer overruns, assuming the caller provided adequate buffer space. A local attacker with low privileges could exploit this vulnerability to trigger a buffer overrun, potentially leading to a denial of service (DoS) or other system instability.
