CVE-2024-49935

Description

From CVE.org

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: PAD: fix crash in exit_round_robin() The kernel occasionally crashes in cpumask_clear_cpu(), which is called within exit_round_robin(), because when executing clear_bit(nr, addr) with nr set to 0xffffffff, the address calculation may cause misalignment within the memory, leading to access to an invalid memory address. ---------- BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at ffffffffe0740618 ... Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
