CVE-2024-42250

Description

A flaw was found in the cachefiles module in the Linux kernel. An improper locking protection in the cachefiles_daemon_poll function in the fs/cachefiles/daemon.c file can result in a race condition.

Statement

The kernel, as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and 9, is not affected by this vulnerability because the vulnerable code is not present.
