CVE-2024-26798

Description

A  vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel in the framebuffer console (fbcon). Thefbcon_do_set_font() function failed to restore the old font data correctly. This flaw could lead to improper font rendering and display issues on the console.

Statement

Red Hat Enterprise Linux is not vulnerable to this CVE, as it does not affect the versions or configurations of the Linux kernel used in its distributions.

Mitigation

Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base or stability.
