CVE-2023-53256

Description

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's ARM Firmware Framework for Arm (FF-A) component. This vulnerability occurs when the system attempts to register multiple logical partitions within a physical partition. Due to an issue in how device names are generated, duplicate names can be created, preventing the successful registration of additional partitions. This can lead to a denial of service, impacting the system's ability to manage and utilize logical partitions.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
