CVE-2022-49613
Description
A flaw in the Linux kernel's serial driver (specifically the 8250 driver) mishandles power management (PM) usage counts during console handover. This mismanagement can lead to inconsistencies in the system's power management state, potentially causing devices to remain active when they should be suspended or vice versa. Such behavior may result in increased power consumption or system instability.
