CVE-2022-49526

Description

This vulnerability arises from improper validation of a bitmap superblock in the Linux MD subsystem when operating in clustered RAID arrays. If a corrupted or invalid bitmap is injected (e.g., manually tampering with bytes), the kernel may proceed to process a file chunk size of zero. This leads to a divide-by-zero error within the DIV_ROUND_UP_SECTOR_T() macro, causing a kernel crash and segmentation fault in mdadm
